Caramel Coffee Creamer
Homemade coffee creamer is so easy to make it's ridiculous. I know it's easier to just grab a bottle off the shelf at the store. But that stuff is seriously laden with chemical yuckiness. This will take 10 minutes out of your life and make your tastebuds VERY happy. I mean...it's caramel. I'm not even a huge caramel fan and I love this stuff! Give it a try and post pictures of your delicious coffee in the comments. This makes 12 ounces.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter ( I prefer Kerrigold)
- 1/2 cup Sucanat or brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups milk or half and half
Instructions
-
Melt butter over medium heat
-
Stir in sucanat as the butter melts
-
Continue stirring until the mixture becomes thick and bubbly. Once it gets to this point, turn off the heat immediately. Then slowly pour in the milk while continuously stirring. At this point, you can add more milk if you'd like to suit your taste.
Recipe Notes
What is sucanat? If you have no idea...read my post here.
This is the Sucanat that I use.
